This trail has two main trailheads: one at the east dam parking lot off Hwy 39 and one on road to Crabtree Cove off Hwy 32. It is a chat trail great for walking or running. There are two loop trails attached: Quarry Loop - 0.9 mile loop takes you to beautiful overlook of lake and old rock quarry. Overlook Loop - 0.7 mile loop meanders through various wildlife habitats and along the lake. Without taking either loop the trail is 1.6 miles from trailhead to trailhead. From the east dam parking lot the trail begins flat along the lake edge. Once you cross the work access road you enter woods for the rest of the trail. You can also access the trail from a small parking lot off Hwy 32, need to watch closely for turn off.

Great trail to run/jog on...mostly white chat with a small section of paved road. A lot of shady areas on this trail with a few benches along the trail to stop and rest. You can get in about a 4.70 mile jog/walk, if you take the quarry loop, and the lower lake trail up to the top of the dam and back to the South end parking lot. Also a great trail for a casual bike ride.

An easy trail to walk with pretty level terrain. Great views of the lake and little lookout points along the way. Great trail for beginners.

Not too scenic.... Short and easy. There is some fun cliff jumping though!
