Real nice nature trails Many deers walked around in the woods. Snow trails made it quite challenge to hike but very pretty white.
First time here. Knew I wouldn’t be able to do it all but figured it would be beautiful after all the snow we just got. Intended to do both loops but trekking in the snow was harder than I anticipated. Loved it though! But only did the first loop. Got hella lost but deer tracks helped me find my way back. What a fun adventure. Wish I had taller boots because I would’ve done the full trail. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to hike the entire park in the spring. Edit: I noticed somebody a few days ago commented saying their phone died halfway through. Mine died right at the end out of no where. Must’ve been the cold? Glad I cut the hike short. But so many tracks in the snow will keep you on track.
In great shape. Brought along ice cleats but didn’t need them. Started at 7 degrees & finished at a balmy 12 degrees. My phone shut down at about 2 miles (guess it got too cold) but I did about another mile. Invigorating!
A fun trail to trail run, not too busy on a weekday but weekends do get pretty busy. Can get muddy and slippery after rain so make sure you have some grippy shoes! Dog friendly with dogs on leash, trails are narrow single track so friendly dogs (it's difficult to get off the trail in some spots if you have reactive dogs that need space) Watch/listen out for mountain bikers, most let us know they were coming and gave us time to move Video of the trail can be watched on our YouTube https://youtu.be/otF0Wnbsz0w
Not well marked. Cyclists did not alert us when they approached from behind zooming by on the narrow trails. Had to follow the recording to avoid getting lost. Saw lots of deer and got a good hike in.
Well marked with minor elevation. Rustic and paved paths. Saw two bucks and two does on the inner loop.
great trails! Someone had blown all the leaves off the trails and they were dry and walkable. saw two bucks chasing does and many other deer. wonderful Trail.
Surprisingly beautiful hike...some paved and some dirt paths. Record your path and you won’t get too lost! Never found the cave.
