Trail takes you along the river just downstream of the table rock dam. Nice shade along a dirt path.

Very short peaceful trail. When we went it was just me my wife and the dogs and we didn't see anyone else. Pretty short but there are a lot of intersecting trails that you could turn it into a longer hike if you wanted.

There are a few trails at the Hatchery along with the Canebrake. there is a lovely bluff trail that is 1.6 mile & the trails that connect directly to Canebrake (Fisherman & Corridor) can create a full loop nearly 2 mile long. The scenery is great, but is can be muddy the day after a rainfall.

We've hiked this trail 3 times, and first time it was in the Spring of 2012, offered lovely views of the lake & surrounding areas. Last 2 times we've walked it, was just yesterday & today, with our two dogs. Offered some nice views of the lake, saw geese, woodpeckers, a woodchuck, a blue herron and one snake! He was out in a very open area....dogs didn't even know he was there.
