Busiek is not my favorite place to hike due to that fact that there is no real destination to hike to (No real waterfalls, Caves, views from top of bluffs, etc). With that said, I do like the Orange Trail, probably my favorite with Purple as second.

Great hiking trail. Mostly flat until the end and it was nice to see waterfalls.

Got in a good sweat for sure. No real water bc it’s been so dry. Took about 2 hours total. Good hike. I would agree with moderate. Lots of nature along the trail.

Wonderful trail, but heads up it is NOT 8 miles! It is closer to 12 or 13.

Great trail but come prepared. Multiple river crossings. Some knee deep or higher after big rains. Keep an eye out on switchbacks for snakes in the afternoon sun. If you take the loop counter-clockwise be prepared for a few steep climbs.

This was the Orange and White trail as one loop. Started down the orange and did the loop clockwise then took the white trail back to the main trailhead/parking lot/gun range. Lots of water and mud but it is all well worth it!

Decent mix of wide gravel/grass trail with a span of rocky switchbacks and a few good spots for a view of rolling hills.

First to Review

I have run here daily for three years now, and this is by far my favorite trail. If you’re going to be a mountain bike riding or running I should just run the flat part all the way to the end, then loopback around to the white trail and finish off of there it’s about 9.7 miles-ish but it’s definitely the best way to do it.
