Paved. If it was unpaved, it’d be safer when wet. This place all slippy when wet my dudes.

the lack of dogs is disappointing. nice elevation gains for such a short tail.

Easy, semi-paved. There’s a fair amount of people since it’s in a metropolitan area.

trails were paved but slanted for quite a bit of the walk. not secluded at this time of year, you can see houses and hear highway noise. strenuous path that we enjoyed, just prefer to get away from civilization a little more.

Great surprise of a trail. I saw lots of families hiking, even one with a stroller! It is paved, but steep in some areas. A small water crossing about halfway through, not anything to worry about. The park seems to be well kept, lots of signage. There is even a 1/3mi trail with a story book posted talking about acorns to keep your littles entertained. The Mens restroom was closed at the trailhead, although it’s located pretty close to the ranger station.

Good trail - paved but a bit slippery when wet.

Loud because of highways otherwise ok. Not scenic

All three trails here are paved. However, it is much more like a dirt trail from a scenery standpoint, that is to say, very pretty. I would say this is the best paved trail I've ever been on. Two of the three trails have steep grades, so you can get a little workout. I will come back when it has been wet and dirt trails are muddy.

Love taking my kids on this one. Paved and has some level of difficulty for them with the distance and hills.

Lovely paved trail. Some spots are steep but it’s well maintained. The conservation building is great learning for kids of all ages.

Quick and fun

Pretty and paved trail. Two of the three trails had great inclines. All of the trails were pretty though!

We really enjoyed Powder Valley. We started at the nature center which has a mini aquarium, child’s treehouse, and learning area. There are also classrooms for learning. The three trails have varying difficulty and length which is great for all ages. Trails are paved and plenty of tree coverage and streams. A wonderful hidden gem of STL!

Paved trail, moderate elevation, beautiful! Take time to go inside the facility and check out the educational displays, including a working bee hive and native aquarium! Amazing!

The trail was just perfect for the beautiful Sunday. I had only couple of hours for walking today and this trail was just right distance to do that. There were no bikers which also was nice. Would be nice if all Spring flowers bloom but I guess it was too early for the Spring flowers. Plan to go back next month.

Paved trails are nice, but can become slippery.

Been going here since I was a kid. It’s mostly geared towards children, I actually learned how to ride my bike in the parking lot. The center is open most days and is a lot of fun. They have bees, a huge fish tank and that famous turtle “peanut”. The trails can get a bit steep but it’s all paved so should no problem unless you have health issues. You can usually find deer here, I once saw a fawn lying next to the trail waiting for their mother to come back. I also use to find a lot of box turtles, but i don’t find as many turtles in MO recently. Haven’t come across one in many years actually.

New Years Day Hike! What a nice paved trail to start the year off with! Did all 3 trails and was an excellent way to not sit on the couch!
