Getting There

A nice hike around the eastern section of Bonanza Conservation Area on an equine trail. Travel over rolling hills through open fields, forest, and over Crabapple Creek. The Equine Trail at Bonanza Conservation Area is a nice, easy hike through the Conservation Departments attempts to cultivate Quail habitat near Kingston MO. Expect a muddy trail over rolling hills through stands of trees, cultivated corn fields, and down some old dirt roads.

Parking is available in two places along SE Allis Drive. Neither have bathroom facilities but do allow for primitive camping.

The trail is definitely for horses. Not great for walking especially within little kids. For one, it’s a hunting ground. And the road was grated for horses so hard to walk on without busting an ankle

Quick easy trail ride. There were some muddy spots but it's be unseasonably wet this year. Trails were mowed and maintained good. will continue to use this trail and recommend it to others.

Nice trail with a mixture of fields and forest with small ponds and creeks along the way. There are some muddy spots and a few small creeks to cross. The path is tall grass that has been mowed down.

Hunting area beginning sept. 1st. wouldn't recommend at this time unless you are familiar with the area. Was passing through, wanted to exercise dog here. Not a good place this time of year for that. 11/14

Beautiful meadow setting trail. Lots of wild flowers, birds and butterflies. Trail is not really clear in areas but fun adventure.

Nice easy trail with some great solitude. The trail was muddy, but there was plenty of grassy areas on it to step in. Watch the crossing of crabapple creek when the water is up, it's hard to make it across dry. Saw some great wildlife including deer and all sorts of birds.
