Blue Heron Trail is a 2.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Crossroads, Missouri that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Gorgeous, little paved trail. We took our 5 yr old and also pushed an 11-mnth baby in a stroller. A couple of water sources to look at, a little waterfall and an old foundation of some sort of building off in the woods on the left. It's a simple, little trail that's great for even the smallest of kiddos.

Not really a hike as it's all paved, but a beautiful short walk. If you park at the beginning of the campground it works out to be a little over a mile round trip.
