We would have given this trail a 5 star. It is beautiful scenery. Appears to be a very old home site with the large foundation rocks. We went off coarse to explore and the trail is barely noticeable. It is a real shame that this trail is forgotten and very poorly maintained. Would be a great attraction. We will definitely be contacting the State Park and suggest this would be a great project for a local Boy Scout Troop to restore this trail.

I explored this trail a couple of weeks back and had the impression that we were the first to do so in a long time. About midway up, any indication of a trail disappears. We just made our own trail. I don’t think you would have the same nice view of the lake from the top in spring or summer. Saw several deer when we first started out, so it seemed like a good place for nature observation. As a trail, it left much to be desired, but it was a nice quiet spot to just be outside.

This trail is rarely used and hasn't been maintained in years. I hiked in the winter and it was extremely difficult to see where the trail was supposed to be going. Basically it goes up to the top of Little Mountain and loops back to the trailhead. It could be a really nice little trail if it were maintained.
