Whitewater River Trail is a 3.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Altura, Minnesota that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Great trail. Well maintained but had a rustic feel. Loved the inside and outside loop. A few loose points..rail ties and cement bridges. But safe enough for kids.

Beautiful hike in the winter. Stone bridges across the river are a bit icy, so use caution.

Quiet beautiful hike. Trails are narrow but not terribly diffucult. One bridge was under water due to flooding, but still enjoyed the hike. The bluebell flowers were in full bloom! Gorgeous!!
