It was fun hiking, and the scenic view was amazing!! As of March month, it means it's muddy and someplace has little snow. But be sure to wear hiking boots! Have fun!! Keep hiking and enjoy the daylight!

Trails were very slushy in some places. I was very glad for waterproof boots and my hiking poles for the slippery descents.

Walking sticks recommended, a bit slick on the declines.

Beautiful, wooded trail accentuated by the turning leaves of early fall.

Well groomed dirt trail. Beautiful colors this time of year. I love going after a rain! Your shoes will get muddy. Lot's of many different trails to take to get more mileage.

Road biking

The trail is well maintained and well marked. It was lightly traveled with most people only T the falls. Moderate elevation gains. A nice change of pace that I’m guessing is best done during fall colors.

Very fun for kids! They loved playing around the falls. Not a ton of parking so make sure you arrive before 10:00am on weekends (as the DNR website advises) to get a parking spot! Bring bug spray & water shoes!

Very quiet today as we arrived in the morning. The walk to the Falls was fine but the bottom part of Beaver Trail was really muddy after recent rain. I’ll come back for more hiking when trails are drier. 1 hour or less from Twin Cities

Went with my kids last Saturday, arrived a little after 11am—just in time to snatch a parking space! Parking was limited, it was a VERY busy day. The $7 parking fee was worth every penny! We walked further into the river (away from the falls) & we felt like we literally had the whole place to ourselves! Kids made sand/mud castles, searched for cool rocks, waded in the water & dug mini trenches on the edge of the river. The walk down to see the falls was fairly easy—it was the way back that had me nearly dying lol! Kids had no problem at all but if you’re a little on the heavy side like me....be prepared to get back to the top completely out of breath!! Thankfully there was a bench to sit on right at the top! After a short break, I was able to make it back to my car with no problems. Totally recommend coming here.

Maybe because of COVID 19 (??) but this trail was VERY heavily traveled (even midweek); it was indicated on AllTrails that its lightly traveled. It was so busy the parking lot was at max capacity. I have a reactive dog so I prefer to only use trails that are light traveled; the massive traffic made for a poor hike for us (we did the whole loop and saw about 75 people). The scenery was ok but not as good as I was expecting based on the other reviews. Super easy, family friendly trail. I won’t be doing this one again but would recommend to others who would be ok with a busy, easy trail.

muddy and sloppy! hikers are going off trail to get past standing water, running water and mud on the trail. otherwise a good hike a little elevation and an awesome waterfall. we were able to cross the bridge today but signage stating otherwise was still up.

Great well trafficked trail, but very muddy in the spring. Trail past the falls was flooded.

This trail was beautiful. This exact trail doesn’t take you to the falls which was a little sad because we didn’t realize that until to late but still gorgeous. I cannot imagine this trail during any other season but DANG I can’t wait to go back. My god. S T U N N I N G

Fun hike today. Spotted a cute raccoon up a tree checking us out! Snow was packed enough that we didn't need snow shoes.
