We want one way from Fifth Falls to Castle Danger Trailhead. Great hike. 9.6 miles from visitor center. Waterfalls. Beaver Dams. Great views by Castle Danger

Excellent trail. Hiked from Gooseberry to Castle Danger. Trail is marked well and campsites looked good. Got caught in a hail storm but that’s part of hiking.

Great day hike! Note a bit longer than 14 miles especially if you want to explore the falls.

Way easier than stated rating. Lots of mud (June 2 2019). Nice views, would recommend.

We started at Lake County Road 301 which added about 2 miles for 16.2 miles round trip. The hike is awesome! The bridge is out at Encampment River but was easily crossed. Be prepared for a TON of mud right now! It was messy but that only added to the fun!

Went October 12th. Leaves were 60% done so there were a lot of colors in the trees and a very colorful wooded ground. Beautiful! Beautiful view of Supirior a couple minute hike from the parking lot. hike is 8-9.1 miles from Castle Danger Road to Gooseberry falls. Then 8-9.1 mile hike back over the same path to where you parked. We hiked 16-18 miles round trip. We hauled it and competed it in 8 hours with a total of 12 minutes of breaks. Very sore legs the last 5 miles. Lots of mud. Lots. Be prepared for that. Well marked and easy to follow. Loved It!

lots of climbing, no bikers, which is awesome, very secluded. Will recommend to friends!
