Sand Point is a 1.8 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Florence, Minnesota that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Monitor water level before making a trip here. Best in the fall or before water gets high otherwise you will be walking through knee to thigh-high water part of the way to the bridge and when the water is high, the bugs will destroy!! Really awesome and easy when water level is down. My best guess is call Frontenac State Park and ask if there is water on the Sand Point trail. They probably know.

Very muddy but gorgeous spring green. Lake Pepin is high so the sandy point is small but well worth the visit.
