HikingGreat!

What a gem of a park, with nicely rolling hills, a beautiful lake, and stands of Birch, Pine, Maple, etc. We went on a Sunday afternoon in perfect weather (70º/Sunny) and there were very few people around so it was quite peaceful. If you're concerned with Social Distancing, there are many offshoots within the park for avoiding others if you wish to do so.

Great trail system. Very muddy in places right (to be expected in spring). Such a gem of a trail in Lakeville/Dakota County.

Great!Muddy

Now one of my favorite metro area parks. Trails are well maintained and marked. The signage is even at shortcuts marked on the app. It's going to be gorgeous in the summer and the fall. Lots of cover, we were comfortable on a day with wind advisories. Usually a 3 mi hike is pretty easy, this had enough hills to give me a workout. Had we followed the snowmobile route it would have been easier and less hilly. We did the whole loop, lots of ways to cut back to the start if you want to. Saw 2 eagles over the lake.

Good conditions, protected from the wind through most, though the starting portion was brisk!

Showy trails as expected, had a good time pulling the kids on a sled up and down the hills. Not too busy when we got there at 10, but by noon when we left there lot was packed.

Great park! We'll definitely return. It's not the most scenic time of year, but it's great hiking weather right now.

Local great hike! There are many trails and ways to hike this park. Remember tick spray for dogs, or make sure to check after for ticks. Lovely trail in the spring/fall!

Not my favorite. Definitely muddy. We managed through that, but the trail signs were just confusing, and compared to other places, just not that pretty or interesting.

Omg so muddy. If you see mud, don’t go further on the trail - there’s more mud that’s impassible later on. Yes, the signs were hard to follow if you’re trying to do THIS EXACT TRAIL but 1) you can’t because so.much.mud and 2) there’s so many other options you can can still enjoy this park. And bring your mesh hat for bugs!

Nice, easy trail with some elevation. Very muddy. Fun hike with the dogs, nonetheless!
