All construction on Flying Cloud in complete, but you must be going westbound on Flying Cloud in order to enter the main parking lot. There is a natural spring at the trail head where you can fill up with fresh spring water. Ascend to the highest elevations to reach 900 feet and receive stunning views of the MN river valley. Another entrance is accessible via the neighborhood off of Frontier Pl. Eden Prairie. Unpaved woodland trails. Lots of terrain options.

Nice hike! Not too long, but there is a lot of up and down so you get a good workout. A couple of really beautiful views of the river valley, lots of nice wooded areas. Not too crowded. Just a few low spots that were muddy, but overall trails in good shape.

Have lived in EP for 3 years but haven’t hiked here till today. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how pretty the views were and how amply challenging it was where you felt like you got a decent workout with many steep inclines. A little buggy in parts and muddy because of the rain this weekend. Great way to spend an afternoon with nature!

A unique trail with steep hills and amazing vantage points! We didn’t get to do the full thing, but will visit again soon. Tip : you likely will encounter soft or muddy ground. Bring shoes that you’re okay with getting a little dirty.

A lot of uphills and downhills. Great views at the top of the hills. The only bad part is bugs.

Obsessed with this entire area. I will be back here over and over. Incredible views, moderate hiking, and occasional stairs and uphill trails to make you feel the burn all the way up too! Must hike in MN I think!

Fairly hilly, but a nice forest bluff area and superb views of the MN river and Shakopee. Informative trail signs along the way as well.

Great views of the Minnesota River valley, with a couple picnic tables along the way. Was suprised to find placards with area history and wildlife information too. Some trails have minor wash outs, but nothing major. Fun little hike

Great trail! The snow is starting to melt so it’s icy and muddy on some of the shaded and elevated parts but otherwise one of my new favorite trails!

Beautiful scenery, somewhat challenging inclines. Recommended!

Awesome hike so close to town. Some good elevation change if you seek it out. Muddy in places but wide open and easy to hike.

Really beautiful trail! It's a little tricky finding the parking lot right now though, and a couple along the trail didn't follow the rules and allowed their dog to run freely. Otherwise it was gorgeous with all the small bridges, greenery and streams. Only the beginning portion is paved, the rest is unpaved with various degrees of inclined pathways. Very well marked with a map pointing to your location at all of the intersections.

Great views from the top and good uphill training. Just recently discovered it and is a definite repeat in the fall.

This is one of my favorite trails to run at the moment, it has some steep climbs, single track, mud, creek crossing. And natural terrain to contend with. Was on it 8.18.2019 and parts were cut back so it was nice not to have the branches and low foliage attacking me. I ran a loop twice and managed to get 4.5 miles with 900 feet of elevation (repeated some climbs and ran all stairs). I recommend early mornings, you’ll have the place all to yourself
