There were several fallen trees across the path, in numerous places, which made it difficult. And the mosquitos were the worst I've ever seen. That was in July.

It was a nice country trail with varied elevation.

The NCT (North Country Trail) is a premier hiking trail that stretches over 4,600 miles linking communities, forests, and prairies across 7 states ( North Dakota to New York State). already, more than 1,700 miles have been completed. When complete it will be the longest hiking trail in the U.S. I have hiked several sections in MN. and one in Mich., I love this trail! Great campsites along the way and so many lakes on the sections I have hiked.
