Part of the loop was closed due to wet conditions. Overall, it was a beautiful hike surrounded by big trees and views.

Nice and quiet, views of water that are not possible once the growth starts. Few wet spots on the trail, otherwise dry.

Groomed trail, lots of slippery clay/mud. Very easy walk in the woods.

Not crazy but busy enough for a 30 degree December day. Falls was semi frozen and just beautiful - trail was clearly marked and it would be easier to go shorter or longer off other trails if you preferred. Great hike!

Nice trail, not too busy in the morning. The waterfall was flowing more than I expected. There are a few areas that are filled with small rocks rather than gravel- hiking boots are definitely recommended.

We went around a little more than the hiking club loop but it was worth it!

I came to see the falls, but was disappointed in them really, my expectations were too high I guess! however, the woods were beautiful and trails well maintained! a great hiking trip!

I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for a simple walk or hike. Kid and dog friendly. It has many loops so you can go as long or short as you like. The waterfall this time of year is not great. The stream is close to being dried up. Very busy on the wknds with kids playing in the water (I do not recommend due to e. coli outbreaks). The water is runoff from farms. This trail is much more pretty to hike in the spring and fall.

There’s a small river/creek that is nice either to wade in or look at. Some rolling hills within the wooded trail. Nerstrand big woods is the largest forest area in southern MN so it’s a good day trip from the cities

Dog friendly (on leash). They recently added considerable rock to formerly muddy sections. Trails were not stroller accessible. Hidden falls were nice, but crowded. Parking lot was full and they were turning people away by 11:45 a.m.

Slightly crowded on the trail to the falls and at the falls. Also people don’t play your music on speakers. No one else wants to hear your terrible choice in music

This is the hiking club trail! You have to take a detour through the campground, but it won’t affect anything! It was a little muddy in some places, but it was overall a very beautiful well preserved trail! It was so magical out in the big woods. It was very busy today but it wasn’t as congested on the trails as I thought.
