HikingBugsGreat!

Me and a friend tried our best to follow the AllTrails map, and it’s not super accurate, but we managed. It takes you all around the campground for no particular reason, so for next time we know to skip that part and just start at the trail head. We made it about a mile and a half before it started raining and we had to turn around and head back. The path was super well maintained. Wide and mowed. Plenty of signage along the way. Bugs are to be expected, being so close to water. But they weren’t as bad as we were expecting. Will definitely be back when it’s not raining to do the entire loop and will update my review then.

We hiked this today. We shortened it some as the bugs were quite bad. This isn’t surprising because of the water and marsh though. I do wish the trails were marked a little better.

Mountain bikingMuddy

It was a while since I got off road with my mountain Bike...i just rode 80 miles of pavement in Florida so I was jonesin' for some dirt. while this wasn't actually great for that it turned out to be a nice ride....the park itself is very nice. lots of wildlife and very peaceful... the signs are top notch and are all over...it really helps to pick what trails you want to go on....there really wasn't anything technical other than a muddy downhill ride....there was some hills for climbing, nothing crazy, but for someone like me who is not in the best shape they worked...some of the trails are on grass but they are very smooth and fairly fast for grass...it almost seemed like they rolled them. roots are almost non existent through the whole ride....I didn't start ny recording till I got into the park already ...over all I got some muddy trails that were fun, smaller climbs, single track ,double track, and paved trails...nothing crazy but if you want to go ride a nice state park I would recommend.

This park is nice for a water activities or if you want an easy, long hike it’s a great trail however it wasn’t a favorite our ours. We enjoy being at a higher elevation with more views. The only nice views we saw were by the water. Paths are well marked and for the most part pretty dry.

a nice trail with variety of terrain... would have done more but did a little over 6 mi without actually following the trail..cause the "you are here"red dots are not marked on the numerous signs. will definitely go back again..did come across a couple workers trimming trees and told them they should get that marked and they said they would definitely get that fixed..dogs enjoyed and surprisingly the bugs were not bad

Hiking

I hiked the Hiking Club trail...6.2mi I believe. Great hiking trail through forested areas, near campground and Albert Lee Lake, grasslands and a few smaller hills. My July hike was pretty warm...probably in the 90s and sunny so bring sunscreen and water as once on the trail, there is little opportunity to stop and get a drink. Quiet hike in a nice park.
