View is worth the whole hike! The side overlooking the isle Royale is amazing. Takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

The mile trail to the summit was tough, but doable. The view at the top was well worth it!!

Fun hike with a good view at the top

Nice little hike, moderate is an accurate rating. Not very challenging. Had bad luck and went on a super foggy day. Couldn’t see much.

Amazing trail and the tough climb is totally worth the view at the top! It is of the most vast and seemingly untouched vistas of Lake Superior that I know of.

The trail is pretty steep as far as trails in the Midwest go. It's beautiful at the top, your staring at two different countries and the largest freshwater lake in the world, how can you beat that?! For less experienced hikers I would advise to just take your time, it's not that bad.

Pretty overgrown, but very quiet. Steep in some parts, but not overly challenging. Fun to see some very old creepy abandoned cars on the way. The view was great, wish we would have gone earlier in the day to appreciate it longer. Bring bug spray!

Hiking Mt. Josephine should not be rated "moderate"; I agree w/Best North Shore's rating & description:
"This rough and challenging trail has the steepest climb—and the most dramatic view—on the North Shore.
Difficulty: difficult. Best for experienced hikers with stamina and the ability to route-find on unmaintained trails. The trail climbs 600 feet in just over a half mile—perhaps the steepest climb on the North Shore.
Trailhead facilities: none"
