I frequently go up to the Y, but took the Beach trail. No beach that I could find. New homes and culdesacs. If anyone knows the route to the beach, please share!

Just a nice jaunt on a paved path behind the elementary school. Lovely board walk bridge with nice views and the path is clear and wide.

Well maintained paved trail. Marked route was a little too busy with bike traffic for my dog who likes to sniff and wander, so we ended up doing an unpaved loop off the main trail which is not marked on this map but easy to find.

Super relaxing walk, not a lot of traffic. Saw lots of wildlife on the multi-use trail too!

I originally intended to do the trail as depicted from others' recordings. however, there is a gem of an unpaved multi-use trail off to the left which I did instead. then I got back on the paved trail, went to the bridge and came back. you can also take the pastry up all the way out to Park Court, and then use the sidewalk to make it back to the YMCA. the paved trail is heavily trafficked with bikers.

This area is very quiet and a great short get-away. We actually did a non-paved trail that loops around just to the east that forks off from this trail.

A beautiful way to get into the woods on a very well groomed winter trail and have it all to yourself! In a few spots it’s easy to end up on other trails that head out of the woods in through the Prairie. I recommend using the app to help track. Park behind the YMCA to get started. Flat, peaceful, and easy way to enjoy winter. Surprisingly few icy spots. Right now is the sweet spot between snow and thaw. Hats off to Anoka county for the amazing trail maintenance.

Well maintained, took a couple wrong turns but easy to do when everything is covered in a blanket of snow. Would come back.

Really nice trail except south of Birch Street the trail is very bumpy. Thought my computer might fall off! Some debris on trail throughout the woods from recent storm. But all in all, a very nice ride.

This trail should really be split into its components within the app. There are sections to this trail (Rice Creek North Regional and Rice Creek West Regional are 2 that I have explored) that are different in their terrain and how they are used. The North Regional Trail has an off leash dog park, as does the West Trail, but the one on the North trail seems to be more heavily used. The times I have been on the North trail there have been a number of people that have their dogs off leash while walking the trail as well, not always a pleasant experience. I likely won't return to the North Trail again, 3 strikes and I'm out.

This area has both paved and unpaved trails. The unpaved trails closely follow Rice Creek. There are some hilly sections to the paths that may challenge some. There is a large off leash dog park at one of the access points to the trail (Locke Park). There is a pedestrian tunnel allowing one to easily cross HW 65 but none of the lights were lit when I took the tunnel making it a bit creepy as it was early morning and very dark inside of the tunnel. We explored the west portion of the trail and will explore the east part, which goes down to the Mississippi River another day.
