The Lake Wobegon Trail runs east/west 49 miles from St Joseph to Osakis MN with a north/south leg of 13 miles from Albany to Holdingford MN for a total of 62 miles. The trail also connects to the Central Lakes Trail in Osakis and to the Soo Line Trail just north of Holdingford, MN The trail is a rail trail so the it has no dramatic hills only gentle 3%+/- grades making it a great trail for all ages and abilities. There are lots of opportunities to stop and enjoy breaks at local home town restaurants with a few chains for good measure including three Dairy Queens.

The description here is contradicting. It says the Lake Wobegon Trail is an 18 mile out-and-back trail, then it goes on to say it is a 49 mile trail. Which is it?

Love the Wobegon! I always rollerblade it and the views are nice and the trail is kept up well. Gets rough in some places which can be hard on the wheels but overall good.

This trail is great for a family day of biking, walking, rollerblading, etc. My wife and I love exploring all sections of the trail.
