It's a quick and easily rewarding trail. Takes you through the quintessential Minnesota backwoods and lakes. The foliage is more deciduous than coniferous but in the Autumn time, it makes for a wonderful array of colors. The old fire tower at the end is a promising reward for the journey. The tower is placed on the one of the highest points around there and the last part of the journey gets a little steep. Steep by the terms of a Midwest hill that is. The tower itself only holds 6 people at a time and feels a bit shaky when it's windy or there is someone using the stairs. It's a little unsettling as you're going up but once you reach the top, the enclosed area up there helps to settle the nerves.

Not much to the trail itself, but worth the walk for the chance to climb the fire tower and enjoy the view.
