This loop is currently closed to hikers as it is now for cross country skiing. A little confusing to figure out where you can and can’t hike! Lots of wildlife to see, beautiful views of the lake. Just frustrating to not know where you can and can’t hike!

Part of loop is closed due to previous flooding. Nicely paved trails. Beautiful fall colors throughout trail.

We make adjustments and only do the paved trails as many flooding areas for the unpaved sections. Still managed to finish almost 6 miles.

Nice walking trail. Paved the entire way. Not many people early morning. One little washed out area easily walked around. Beautiful trail

Nice trail, lots of trails closed as they are flooded. We saw frogs, goldfinches, and lots of wildflowers.

Love this place. Although because of the rain a lot of trails are closed due to flooding etc

I didn’t make it around Bush Lake, but the Highland Lake trail was beautiful. Very peaceful. No dogs allowed on the hiking (non paved) trails—but of course I saw one off the leash .

I love this trail...there are two 3/4 mile loops, one going through prairie, one through woods. Even though you are in an inner ring suburb you feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. This part of the park (by Richardson Nature Center) gets the least traffic....some weekdays in the middle of the day it might just be you and wild turkeys!
