One of Elk Rivers best hidden secrets!!! Love this trail! Spring and winter are great! Summer it gets very Buggy- so bring bug spray! Fall is simply amazing! Even in rain it’s a perfect workout! Walking is hard- I can’t imagine this trail on a bike!

Had a nice hike, was shady for much of it which made it tolerable in the heat. Off the main road that runs down the middle we went to the left and walked a trail that wound around for about 2 miles. Less bikes coming through that side of the trails. All trails are dirt as you are hiking a dirt bike trail.

This trail is primarily for mountain biking and is maintained by volunteers from MN Off-Road Cycling. It was really fun. I hiked sections 1 and 4. 1 was sort of like a bike obstacle course in places. The whole thing is so circuitous that it felt almost like a labyrinth.

Section 1 has a trillion signs. Section 4 didn't, but it's really just 1 trail with a couple of diversions where you can choose your level of difficulty. I didn't mind the lack of signage.

This was a fun and easy trail to take the kiddos on. I really liked that a road ran through the middle of the trails because it made an easy turn around point once the kids became tired. All the curves and changes in elevation made for an interesting hike. We were excited to find the leprachaun mentioned by another hiker!

had a blast with the dogs in the beginning of spring. Didn't have to worry about bikes coming through...actually we were pretty much by ourselves:) whoever put the evil leprachan in the trees is awful....but it definitely caught me off guard.

A friend and I trained for the Navy Seal inspired Battle Frog 5 mile obstacle course race simply by running this trail 1 to 2 times a week. One of my favorite parks. I recommend starting at section 4 and working backwards to 1.

If you walk all 4 sections it is 7.2 miles. Fantastic trails and switch backs and great leg workout of constant up and downs. Went walking but the best mountain biking trail I have seen. Take plenty of deep woods Mosquito repellent though - we didn't and paying for it the next day.
