Nice trail for dogs. Pretty busy so get there early. The views of the falls are lovely and the trail is mostly shaded. An easy, relaxing hike.

Great trail.path follows both sides of river. Beautiful scenery. Easy/moderate. We are in our late 50’s and in average to good shape and found this to be very scenic and enjoyable trail.

Very trafficked trail. Nice and easy with some great views. If you’re looking for a casual hike, this is great! If you want a workout, check out something else.

Get there super early as the crowds increase quickly. Many people aren't wearing masks and they aren't social distancing so not the best spot to go right now especially if you have health conditions. Otherwise it is a very nice hike, some hills but overall pretty good.

Amazing trail! Wasn't too busy early in the morning, waterfalls are flowing beautifully. Was treated to a bald eagle sitting on a snag right by the lower falls bridge. Magic. Follow my instagram for more adventures @julie_journeys

Hiked here late April with young kids. While parts were icy and muddy, it was easy to stay on our feet and not get too wet/muddy. Along the river the whole way so nice scenery throughout. Falls were definitely in full display with the spring melt.

Fantastic spring hike to view the roaring falls. Muddy and icy in some spots, so be prepared.

Snowshoes to fifth falls. The trail is packed but going off trail is great. Nothing better than snowshoeing is the north shores beautiful. Saw very few people once we got away from the visitors center.

We hiked this in August and it was fantastic. Great waterfall views and great trails. Great if you want to take your furry friend with as well. Plenty of places to be able to take your dog into the water. Really awesome hike.

Quiet delightful hike leading to rewarding view of fifth falls. First time on this trail and was worried about crowds, but hit the trail at 10:30 and there were few people on the trail. River and woods sounds along the way gave us a relaxing start to our day. No bugs and easy to navigate.

Very busy around the visitors center and the lower and middle falls. But, head up towards Fifth Falls and it’s amazing! Beautiful trail. Easy access to swim. No bugs today at all.

Great short hike and family friendly (aug 19 2019)! Did it in tevas - no need for heavy hiking shoes - mostly all wood planks. Lots of rocks on the river to sit on to enjoy a little picnic snack. Wear sunscreen!

Although the main falls area was a bit crowded, there were still plenty of opportunities to experience the falls. The River View Trail leads away from the falls and ends at Lake Superior where there is a nice beach, picnic area, and breathtaking views of the lake and rocky shore.

Awesome trail with amazing views of Gooseberry that you just won’t see from the main visitor center area. Trail is mostly level and easy to navigate. It is also clearly marked. Today was a cool 62 degrees with some light rain. We brought our dog along and he loved it.
