Great trail with lots of walkers and bikers. The southwest end of Lake Bde Maka Ska loop needs work because of pothole deep cracks in the bike path that have been marked with red paint for years now.

My dog mildly is distracted by bikes. Best to go clockwise with the bikes. More shade at Harriet than other areas.

Great for families and all ages. West of Lake Harriet on 43rd and Upton is a very cute little commercial Node with restaurants and coffee shops.

Great trails with lots of diversity. Harriet is quiet and shaded. Calhoun is loud and busy. Lakes of the Isles is open and has a dog park. My favorite is Lake Harriet where I “forget” that I’m in the city.

Great trail for biking, walkers have their own trail. Do this when I’m short on time and want to get an exercise ride in!

Quintessential urban walk. Beautiful homes along the lakes, and especially on Lake of the Isles. Dog friendly, but keep 'em leashed. Walkers can choose to walk one, two, or three of the lakes (2.5 miles - up).

The Lake Harriet loop is my favorite! It's just the right distance for a daily walk or bike ride. There's a bandshell with great free entertainment in the summer and a concession booth. Harriet also has more trees than the other lakes that shade you from the sun om hot days and blocks the wind on some of the colder days. Wrap that all up with a beautiful rose garden that contains tons of a variety of colors and types of roses as well as other flowers and fountains. I highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful city route that can be biked, walked, or ran. It is a mix of woods, lakes and concrete and so is excellent for families that need the support of eatieries and indoor plumbing.
