Great trail love the river and the beach trees are beautiful. Dog loves it here.

Really nice trail for the end of January 2020. Well marked, benches along the path’s. We were unable to complete the top loop as the water wasn’t cooperating.

Wish I would have discovered this trail sooner! Still pretty even on a Christmas Eve with no snow. I bet it’s beautiful in the fall when the leaves change. Trail overlooks the Red Cedar River in spots. Benches every so often if you need a rest. Easy trail and well marked!

The upper loop was dry and pleasant. the lower Beech Tree Loop, near the river, was excellent this morning. The best way to enjoy the river view is early morning -9am or later in the afternoon-4:30p. The lighting and water reflections at these times are fabulous. Be sure to wear bug spray.

Easily can walk from East Gate to Harris Nature Center and back while hitting all the side trails in a hour or two. Great place to walk your dog. Not sure why this is considered moderate it’s super easy and casual, sections of this trail are paved. Early spring except lower trails to be washed out.

Decent day hike with some pretty views of the Red Cedar river. There is another set of trails across the road as well from the Harrison Nature Center. Great place to take the family for a hike, fish from the docks, and see the rehabilitated hawks on the backside of the building. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okay maybe I missed an notice from the parks here this season. Did it say closed til next year? There has been no attempt all year to remove numerous large trees fallen and blocking main trails and other areas especially Legg Park the trail has waist high over growth. Very few bikers and hikers - people are no longer coming here and I see why.

nice easy Sunday hike. beautiful trail along river. parts are paved and wide so good for elders and kids. light traffic. folks were friendly.

Trail was decently easy. Flooded over in parts, so be advised before going during the wetter months. Trails are well-kept.

I enjoyed this trail very much. yes you are next to a high class neghborhood for a couple of parts of the trail but overall its very secluded. I enjoyed the fact that this park has some elevations and short hill climbs. its been perfect for getting out and getting in shape. I could see some of these trails being flooded in the wet seasons.

The trail for the Eastgate Connection is somewhat confusing with all the different routes to take, but it was quite enjoyable with the bumpy road that took us through the woods. The only thing I did not like about this trail was that it was right next to a very high class neighborhood, and I would have enjoyed it more if it was more isolated. Otherwise, it's a nice, not too long trail.
