If you're looking to get away from the crowds this is a great hike. There is a couple sections of the trail towards the beginning of the trail that tend to be muck/under water most of the year but there are alternative routes to get around those sections (or you can bring sandals to just walk through these sections if you don't mind). The trail itself is not terribly challenging but very enjoyable walking among a relatively untouched forest with a lake as your end goal.

The Road into the trail head is terrible. The hike was super wet and It may be due to the rain. The water views of the streams were not good because it was swamp like. Was not able to make it to the lake because the trail was flooded.

Great trail, tons of large old trees. friend and I climbed large cliff and slept on ridge. It was raining when we first trekked in, but we enjoyed the adventure.
