Flat up to the lollipop then a little bit of up and down. Frogs are LOUD back there!
was here with friends and their dog March 12th, hiked part of this trial up to Mill lake loop and back. total round trip 2.2 miles out to markers 9-10-11. There was just a little ice still in the center of the trail but it was easy to avoid. along with the ice melt there was just a little erosion on the middle of the trail, but not bad. lots of people were out with their dogs, so make sure you have a leash for your dog just in case they aren't friendly, and don't let your dog off leash if it isn't obedient. you do need to have the state park passport to visit this area. there was a vault toilet, but no paper - you've been warned!
Just gorgeous w couple inches of fresh snow. Out past Hickory Hill much narrower and more up and down
A hidden gem. Many hills some quite large. Various loops to other lakes along the way. Only real downside is you’ll go past a few houses along the way and cross a few roads, but mostly very scenic.
Nice- perfect sunny windless day- trails were a bit ice packed- just need to pick your foot steps carefully- Yak tracks would have been helpful
Decent trail. I would rate it easy vs. moderate. Biting flies galore today!
Loved the trails - lots of bikers, but all very friendly! I missed a marker and accidentally hiked up into the Upside Down and Sugar Rush trails, but it was a fun adventure and I throughly enjoyed it! Not too muddy, but lots of hills. Bugs were not an issue :)
Amazing trail. Did about 7.5 miles and it was beautiful. Only saw a few people the entire hike, great for social distancing! Very peaceful. Wear bug spray!
Fun. Several trees down and the trails were a little over grown and narrow. I was ponying a horse so that was a little difficult. Overall fun. Definitely can’t wait for the tree to be cleans up. Never got to finish a loop because of the down trees. If you aren’t comfortable with narrow trails I would recommend Ionia state park.
