HikingGreat!

Drive in to trail head was 13 miles of dirt roads. Trails were well marked with diverse scenery. We truly enjoyed this family hike and seeing how the Two Hearted River flowed into Lake Superior.

Starts near the mouth of the Two Hearted River near the campgrounds. Follows along North Country Trail. This is not really a loop but it’s not very difficult to find a way down the sandy slope to walk back along shoreline. Also follows along ORV trail but we didnt see anyone once we passed the camp area. Very beautiful spot to eat lunch.

Beautiful scenery! I was originally planning on backpacking but there aren't any spaces you could set up a tent. Hammock campers could probably find a spot. Some sandy spots and a few steep (but short) hills.
