Trout Pond to Maple Hill is a 8.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Rudyard, Michigan that features a great forest setting and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from May until October.

I've hiked a few segments of this trial. I personally like to start at Trout Pond (a bit north) and head south. That has been my favorite route. There are a few brooks to enjoy and some nice hills. It's also very secluded, during that hike i didn't see a single person.
There's a new "connector" for the North Country Trail, that this one synchs up with. Just follow the blue rectangles.
Also, there's a beaver dam on one of the segments.
