Thornapple River is a 8.3 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Hastings, Michigan that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for nature trips, birding, canoeing, and sea kayaking and is best used from May until October.
For Grand Rapids area and not wanting to do much tripping on the Grand river this river works wonderful. There was a group of us that went out about 10 people 5 canoes for an afternoon trip. we only did 10 miles but it was peaceful and average flow.
