The Rose Lake Wildlife Research Area is a boon to outdoor enthusiasts of all varieties. Part of a network of trails surrounding a large shallow impoundment, this trail takes you past old farmsteads, research crop plots, and views of the local wildlife.
Was really disappointed on my trip here. I used to hike/bike these trails a lot about 12-15 years. Some of the nicest trails are over grown and gone. Most underused and grown over at least at the section I tried. Budget cutbacks evidenced here along with a new priority for hunting.
