Upper peninsula if Michigan is absolutely beautiful in September and October with the leaves changing. Tahquanamon Falls is one of the biggest sights! Check it out.

Lots of stairs but beautiful hike--the views of the upper falls are fantastic! Easy to moderate (because of stairs).
