Not very many people have been through since the last snow so there were parts walking through deep snow. The snowmobile tracks on the multi-purpose trail made it a bit easier. Enjoyable hike all around, just slower going than usual.

Not groomed for skiing though some ski tracks were visible. I snowshoed in fresh powder, about 9 inches! In Some places I was the first to walk, along with the deer and squirrels.

did a 4 mile out/back hike in the snow. Trails are in great shape, some packed down areas, some areas with bike tracks, but very passable. I did wear some Kahtoola spikes on my boots for some extra traction. Love this time of year at Sleepy Hollow.

I was mostly in horse trails and they were rough and hard going with hard packed and uneven trail—but it was fine. Just hard going. The hiking bike trails were a breeze.

Love walking our dog on these trails! In the winter, the snowy trails are beautiful and the frozen lake Ovid is fun to explore.

Part of sleepy hollow I’d never hiked before, and it was beautiful. This is mostly horse trails, so definitely easier to walk in the winter than other, muddy times of the year. Lots of people out enjoying the beautiful day closer to lake ovid.
