Very nice trail. Beautiful scenery of tree and water. This trail does get quite muddy so wear boots or old shoes. The trail conditions are marshy so in different seasons the bugs might be thick. Few decent hills back in the more wooden areas. Overall great hike!
beautiful trails! a few questionable “bridges” (two tiny branches stretching across a stream crossing). def wear your yaktrax and bring poles if going on a snowy day. lots of maps along trail to consult too. great park overall.
nice trail. Nice little stream to walk along its spring fed. It's good but not the best trail I've been on so I give it a 3. I recommend it for intermediate hikers. We did it in the winter not much snow though its December 27th.
My husband’s 1st time here. His review. Good trail, not well marked but an obvious well hiked trail. There’s a bridge, maybe around 19 or 20, that crosses the creek. It’s crazy slippery! If you happen to hike this loop be careful before you even put your foot down on this bridge. I would hope this gets redone soon. Otherwise nice and pretty trail with nice elevation and places to take pictures.
Half the trail is gorgeous and hilly through the woods. The other half was a little “meh” and open, some on paved road. Worth it, though!
One of my favorite trails in Michigan to hike in the winter. Quiet and peaceful, trails are marked well. A bit slippery in spots so make sure to wear good shoes. Besides the lake there’s a bubbling brook in the middle of the woods that’s just beautiful. Enjoy! Definitely would rate this moderate on this trail but most trails are easy.
Really nice trail. Fantastic lake views throughout and some mildly challenging terrain.
Great trail- little confusing in back - glad had app. About 60% no canopy so choose cool/cloudy.
Great wooded, hilly trail with interesting tree roots on the path. Trail not marked well once you reach the dam. Cross over the dam and go back down along the lake. Looks like it could be pretty muddy during rainy or post winter weather.
Good mix of shade and lakes. Lots of tree roots bit gone to navigate. Lots of water and scenery. Will be back!
