Seul Choix Point Lighthouse was built 1892-1895, and was one of a few lighthouses along this shore of Lake Michigan. There is a paved road (narrow) nearly all the way to it. A nice museum is in the living quarters, and you are allowed (in 2006) to climb the circular stairs to the top of the lighthouse.

cool lighthouse, it's called Seoul Choix as it translates from French "only choice". there were no other lighthouses in the area, this making this the only choice. This was also featured on Expedition Unknown, starring Josh Gates, from the Discovery channel. there is also a letterbox here, if you don't know what it is, it's like a scavenger hunt. you bring a notepad, a stamp and ink. you print the "treasure map" off online, then you follow the clues until you find it. there will be a notepad and a stamp on the cache you find. stamp their book with your stamp, date it. then stamp your book with their stamp, then replace all of the materials and the container, this leaving it for the next hunter.

$5 admission to the ground, lighthouse stair climb and several museum sections. I think it worth the money to see them all.
