Nice hike, can be pretty wet depending on when you go. The waterfall is also very situational. I can be almost totally dry or gushing depending in the season and recent rain.

You definitely want to have an AWD or 4WD SUV on these roads! Also pray that another vehicle doesn't need to pass in the other direction when the road narrows. Make sure you download the driving directions when you have a connection, you will lose service. Trail is moderate and muddy at a few points; a walking stick helped us through. Once you get to the falls; you are glad you soldiered through this trail! Amazing!

Very hard to find but well worth it! When the maps say it is truly for the adventurous they mean it is off the beaten path and not clearly marked. Highly recommend going in a sturdy car or SUV since it is a lot of dirt roads. Beautiful quiet place in the middle of the forest.

Easy hike, wear sturdy shoes lots of roots and jagged rocks. If you like access to waterfalls this is a great one for that. Choose the right time of the year to go, July sucks for biting flies, June not too bad just bring mosquito spray, mid-August to September probably the best.

This was a great, secluded trail back to the waterfall. You will follow a two track for the first half, then it drops down the hill to a lower area, which was wet and swampy. The waterfall was well worth the hike in even being swarmed by all the mosquitos. The only difficulty is the drive to the trailhead due to the bumpy, narrow dirt road.

If you are going to the falls you will need an older truck or jeep. After Rock River Rd the roads (more like trails) are narrow two tracks. We had a full size truck and had to turn around. We never actually got to the falls but I don't want anyone to head back there not knowing what to expect. The forest is pristine otherwise and was a nice albeit bumpy drive.
