Flat-as-a-pancake bike path. Not much shade and the surface is asphalt, so it can get hot during the summer. Crosses roads a couple times, but a good stop to do tempos and continuous running, as it avoids high traffic areas. During the winter, parts of it are usually plowed and salted by the city of Midland, so it can be a good spot to get good footing in, even after snowfall.

Beautiful trailhead starting by the Tri-Bridge. Well maintained trail that has a wide path. Lengthy with plenty to see along the way. Not a lot of shade so beware on hot summer days.
