Portage Creek Bicentennial Trail is a 7.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Kalamazoo, Michigan that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Short and sweet. Dog-log stations and bathrooms at both ends are awesome. Trash cans every so often and the scenic overlooks are worth the short walk. Well maintained and well marked.

Great resource in Portage, MI. Easy to access and a good workout. Usually pretty busy with roller skating, bikers, and joggers. Nice to see a great deal of wild life. Often see deer every time I run on the trail.

The best thing about this trail is convenience, you can access it through many different points in Portage. There are also linked trails that total around 16 miles. For biking this trail can be frustrating because it is HEAVILY used and there is a lot of slow moving traffic to contend with
