The hike is moderate to easy with some sandy hill climbing. It's a great all season hike through wooded sand dunes that protect you from winter winds. There are elevated scenic overlooks of a river and it's mouth into Lake Huron. The hike can be modified to in include about 3/4 of a mile of beach as one leg of the hike.

Really easy trail and beautiful views of Saginaw Bay. The trails were marked really well.

Great trail, totally crappy parking! There is a tiny dirt ditch you can park in next to a bar, fits 3 cars. Other than that the trail was well maintained and wide. Beach access and beautiful views makes for a nice hike.
