Nice trail, no bugs, well marked once you find the trail from the M22 entrance.

The trailhead is just a mowed area right off M22, no signs but once u are on the trail it's well marked. Low areas were muddy but there's paths around the worst spots. Very buggy but a nice hike

Hiking

Still some low spots with standing water and have to go off trail a bit but overall a nice hike. Mosquitos were not bad today because it was breezy and low 70’s but could be really bad in other conditions.

Easy walk to the white pines campground from Trails End, but be prepared with some serious bug spray (or mosquito nets). The bugs are really bad right now.

beautiful little lake. evidence of beaver. using the map here led us to parking in a field that is for winter parking only. We parked anyway. had to cross a marsh that was about 6 inches deep, so prepare for wet feet. We ended up taking a different trail back because our son was miserable with wet feet. realized you can park at a trailhead and take photos of the trail map. that would have been nicer for us. Bass Lake Loop is the official trail name. sorry for the bad caps... I'm in a wrist cast sitting in the rain at camp!!!

Really nice walk around a small inland lake through diverse and dense forests. Flat, well-marked trail.
