Great MUDDY Hike ! First time hiking this area , tough muddy hike. No tennis shoes or flip flops on this one. Lots of uneven ground and MUD.Started at Lake of The Clouds North - South, Beautiful ravine at about half way point and some dry ground. No bugs at all which was good , probably would have turned back if it was really buggy even though we had nets and spray. Final destination was beautiful , will do complete trail net time. took about 5 hrs due to the thunderstorm night before.

Did all 12.3 miles. Mud, roots, elevation, and water describe it. Went clockwise from trailhead. Last mile on escarpment is great.
