Went from little beaver lake campground to Cliffs Group campground, just past miners castle, all on one day. Weather called for snow tomorrow se we hitched a ride back to the car from miners castle instead of making our way back to the beginning near the hospital. I assume we were one of the first on the trail this year, as the road to beaver lake was impassable by car and the trail had many blockages, and flooding. The trail was even washed away into Lake Superior at some point after chapel falls. You can refund the trail about 200 yards through thick brush neat the cliffs edge. The dog loved the whole way too. Little beaver lake campground was really nice, as was chapel falls. Mosquito, cliffs group, and potato patch campsites were very unequipped and flooded. May 14th and still snowing and 28 overnight.

We hiked this in the winter to see the frozen falls. It was absolutely beautiful. The hike was difficult in 3 feet of snow, but it was an amazing workout and a great payout. The roads aren’t plowed, so we walked 2 miles down a snowmobile trail to Miners Falls trail. Then the 1 mike to the falls. Please be wise if you do this hike in the winter. Dress warm. Have YakTracs or suitable gripping hiking boots. Let others know you are doing it. Bring water and a snack. Leave early to mid day. It’s worth it. I posted winter photos of the falls.

I drove a long ways to get to this trail! I stopped and spoke with a gentleman at a restaurant half way to the Chapel Falls road and he stated that Chapel road was seasonal and not plowed in the winter. He recommended going back to Miners Castle road and walking in from the Carmody intersection as it was plowed to that point only. So, I did! It was an excellent day walking in the forest on a snow covered road. The views from the cliffs of Castle Rock were just like in magazines, I went to the beach and enjoyed that view. I did take the time to go to the lower Miners Falls view platform and as other have stated, the ice pack on the stairs make going down on the outside more of a possibility. The contrast of the brown water against the blue and white of the icicles make it quite picturesque!

this was great. you could drive a snowmobile most of the way in the winter. the steps were completely frozen. however i went to left of the steps and was able to climb down to the 2nd viewing area. it was amazing. I wish I bought a rope so I could climb down further and had a way to come back up. it was just too slippery.

It’s a pretty simple hiking trail. Mostly flat. If you feel daring enough, you can hike down to the falls (there are no signs saying otherwise). Many people were hiking small trails to the falls to get an up close and personal view. It’s worth it, honestly. Gorgeous waterfall!

A moderate, dog and kid friendly trail. Heavily trafficked, because it is definitely a popular trail. When you reach the waterfall you can off trail a bit and get up close to the waterfall, however it’s quite treacherous. We didn’t do it because we had a dog with us, but many people were going down. A little elevation climb, but not terrible. Great for all ages!

It's a mostly wide, dirt trail so there's nothing too difficult about it. The falls may be some of the best in the area so I'd definitely put this on the list if you're driving through to the Castle.

Easy hike out and back to a pretty waterfall. We went around 7:30pm and there were only a few other people there. Lovely views (from a little distance) from the platform.

This was a nice walk in the evening. Not too many people after 6pm. The waterfall is gorgeous!

Very short in and out but the falls are worth it. Pretty cool if you walk down to the falls off the trail (at your own risk, can be quite sketchy). Also you can bring dogs.

This trail is highly trafficked and the falls are quite beautiful. I can see why people enjoy it. The path is wide and easy for all types of hikers. But given the amount of people, we enjoyed Tannery falls way better.
