What seems like a small city park at the outset turns into a beautiful hike along a swift creek. There are parts of the trail that are washed out and are tricky to navigate. It's a lovely oasis in the middle of town.

Very pretty trail through the woods alongside a babbling brook. It is 1.1 mi OUT and 1.1 mi BACK for a total trip of 2.2 miles. End of the trail area is a bit difficult to navigate. Quite hilly. Be aware of several areas of trail eroded into the creek and thorny vines stretching over into pathway.

Cool little trail! There are some washed out areas but they are still easily passable. Definitely a hidden gem.

nice hidden gem. we have had a few storms in the last couple of weeks and I think this had created some spots in the trail that have been washed out that needs some repair. it's still easley pass able in the these spots of the trail. I would have never guessed that this trail is right here. you should check it out if your in the area. my 7 year old son was able to do in under an hour. the steep sections have stairs and benches for those who struggle with climbs.

Been through Newaygo many times and never noticed this park! We had been hiking up to Hardy Dam and someone suggested this as a picnic spot on the way back to Grand Rapids since it had a covered pavilion up from the parking lot with picnic tables. Such a nice wooded trail right beside a rushing creek(?). FYI—It is a bit hilly if you’re not used to hiking. We were all pleasantly surprised
