Wonderful hike. Varying terrain along a river. Falls are lackluster, but the hike makes up for it. Some muddy spots.

HikingGreat!

Nice old growth Hemlocks. Trail is easy to moderate. Main thing to watch for are the roots. Middle of the day and week very few people. Well marked trail. Lots of places to set up a rugged campsite but only 2 official sites. Worth the trip north of Marquette. Beautiful and you avoid the crowds close to town.

Quiet wooded trail. waterfall is not large, but very scenic. If you plan to camp at the campsite, heads up as there is only one spot.

Listen to all the reviews when we say the bugs are serious! Bring the strongest deet, where bug spray lotion. Whatever takes! BUT, the trail is awesome. Beautifully marked no way to get lost. Walking along a creek/river the whole time. Lots of tree roots and rocks so please wear good shoes. Awesome camp spot about 3 miles in. Even has a Latrine! Only saw one person the 2 nights we stayed! Great trip!

Sister twisted her knee so we had to turn back. The parts of the trail I did see were beautiful. Very rooty in spots so watch your footing. Well maintained and marked. Elevation changes were fun!

Beautiful trail along Little Garlic River, very little traffic. Wear sturdy shoes as you step over many roots and a few steep hills. Fall colors are gorgeous here.

Beautiful section of the NCT. Blue blazes switch to white once you cross the road 2.6 miles in. The trail leads right down to the bottom of the falls.
