The south trails at Lillie Park offer nice bird viewing and a little bit of woods. With the various cutoffs available, it is easy to make a visit into an easy 3-mile or more hike without much retracing your steps. If it has been dry, or if you have waterproof shoes, take the extra loop through Johnson Preserve for a neat little, but wet, woods.

Nice hike except close to I-94 which I don’t care to hear when I am enjoying nature but glad it is close by to enjoy. Can’t always have it all!

Nice park with water all around. Nice parking but also close to expressway where it can be heard in the park.

Lillie Park's south trails offer a nice little hike along easy paths. There are typically geese, ducks, egrets and terns on Duck Weed or Turtle Rock ponds. Going off the main trail, especially through the "Giants Grove" and the extension into Johnson Preserve gets you into a nice little woods with almost no other visitors.
