It was a great trail, there was just a LOT of bugs & spider webs. It was a beautiful trail though.

A couple muddy spots but a great trail! I would like to come back and run it one day. It was fine when we went but later in the summer I could see this area being a haven for mosquitoes.

Love love love this trail, the path is clear, it’s easy, and it’s short-ish!

The trail was well marked and we enjoyed the different areas - one minute you're walking along the lake and the next you're in a forest. Had to deduct one star because the end of the trail was a let down. We had to end our walk by going across parking lots and the main road in order to get back to our car.

This was my first ever hike with intentions to hike, if that makes sense? It’s a good trail for beginners and my dog loved it too!

I would highly recommend this trail! I took my pup today and it was wonderful, not very many people and lots of different trails to choose from. Lots of shaded area and scenic trails. Great condition and well marked paths.

This was a really nice hike once we were able to figure out the trail. It was a bit confusing at first but all in all a very nice hike.

This is the first time I’ve backpacked this park and I loved it. Maybe because it’s Autumn

Nice quite trail. Park requires Michigan Recreational Pass (or fee) to enter. Part of the trail required walking on paved road but most of that can be avoided by shortening the hike. Still highly recommend for a park so close to the city.

Definitely recommend. A friend and I went with our dogs on a weekday and ran into only a couple people on the trail. Despite all the rain and being right alongside the lake, the bugs weren’t bad and only a few spots of the trail were muddy but easily able to get around. No ticks found on both humans and doggos
