Hiked this trail on May 12 it was excellent. Peaceful and quiet. Lots of birds and wild flowers just beginning to bloom.

This is a great trail, lots of beautiful scenery. We didn't let the April Fools weather stop us.

The walk/run past Shavanaugh and Mary's Lakes is exquisite followed by a lovely visit to deeper woods that then take you to a riverside stroll (no more running because you just HAVE to slow down to take it all in!). Be sure to have a camera to catch the amazing rays of the setting sun filtering through the trees or a myriad of spring flowers. Keep your ears open for the clear notes of a wood thrush or the rapping of a red-bellied woodpecker.

Please keep dogs leashed so all can enjoy this wonderful trail!

Great trail. We were out for about two hours and only saw one other person.

Great trail. Have done it sans kids and have taken two young ones hiking and snowshoeing on this trail and its great for them as well (though we only did a portion of the trail and turned around with them). Multiple trail options, lengths, difficulties from which to choose.
