If you're doing the entire Kal-Haven Trail, there are many places to stop for food and rest. The trail keeps you safe the entire trip with great signage.

Very convenient location for a vacationer in South Haven. If you're looking for a flat course to do distance, this is it. You share the path with bikes, but it wasn't too crowded. Also, the Black River running along the trail is perfect for kayaking.

Love this trail. I run and bike about 1,500 miles a year on the Kal. Lots of scenery, decent number of rest stops, never too far from a town.

Great for small sections (bike or walk), or long hikes.

Fantastic afternoon bike ride. Well maintained packed dirt trail that road bikes can easily handle.

I recommend starting in Kalamazoo as the trail will end in South Haven, just a short mile through town from the Lake Michigan beaches.
