The first 1.2 miles of this trail is a dirt road that can be driven down. We made it in a Honda Sedan, just go slow. Highly recommend not hiking the road section, there is a parking lot where the actual trail starts and it cuts the distance down considerably. Beautiful spot!

Beautiful and easy walk. Should be noted that dogs are not allowed even if on a leash.

As mentioned by others, the first mile or so is a road you can drive down. A car could make it no problem. That cuts the hike down to around 1.5 miles or so. Quick hike. The beach is rocky but pretty cool. Black flies made it hard to enjoy however.

The first 1.2 miles of this are a dirt that can be driven in the summer. It'd be a fairly unpleasant walk. If you can drive, I'd recommend driving to where the hiking trail begins at 1.2 miles. There is some room to park on the side of the street.

A bit disjointed as a lot of the trail is on a dusty road. The Harbor is really cool. Bugs were awful in June.

We were here in June. Really buggy, but worth it ... paradise!

Pretty trail down to the lake. Some tree roots, but my 80 year old mother did it.

easy hike to the beach. you can see a "sandbar" straight ahead. we climbed on the rocks on the right side of the beach and found a trail that led out to that rock "sandbar" that is a moderate, maybe .75 mile hike.

Rode this short trail down to Lake Superior. Actually a little technical, mostly cause of the rocks and Cedar roots! Had a blast and the scenery is outstanding! I LOVE MICHIGAN !!

Nice short hike for the family. Allows for up close and personal look at geological structures of the Keweenaw pennisula. Very easy path.
